In partnership with the Victorians Institute, the Atlanta hub will take place at Georgia State University’s downtown campus September 20-22, 2024. We welcome proposals for papers and panels related to the conference theme of “event,” broadly interpreted.

Visiting Atlanta

Outside of the conference events, attendees can explore the restaurants, museums, shops, and attractions of Atlanta and Decatur, many of which can be reached using MARTA, the commuter rail system, or the Atlanta Streetcar. Google Maps will navigate you around the city via transit/foot.

Getting There

Georgia State University is situated at the original “Five Points” of Atlanta. It is served by two MARTA stations (Five Points and Georgia State) and is accessible from MARTA’s north/south and east/west commuter rail lines.

Train: GSU is accessible by train. The Amtrak station is located north of downtown, but convenient to MARTA transit.

Bus: MegaBus offers service to Atlanta from major SE cities, including Charlotte, Memphis, Nashville, Orlando, and Washington, DC. Greyhound also offers service to Atlanta from cities across the country.

Car: Situated at the point where I-75/I-85 crosses I-20, it is easy to get to Atlanta by car (as long as you avoid rush hour!)
